DÓCHAS CPD TRAINING - FAMILY OF ORIGIN TRAUMA SERIES
Dóchas CPD training is launching a series of courses in January 2025. These courses focus specifically on teaching counsellors and psychotherapists and others in the helping profession how to help clients on their journey of healing family of origin trauma - childhood attachment trauma that occurs in relationship with primary caregivers.
The motivation for these courses is to empower therapists in embarking on this deep and sometimes lengthy piece of work with clients who are struggling with mind, emotional and soul health issues that have their root cause in family and childhood trauma.
The title of the training series is “Family of Origin Trauma and its Impact on Adult Relationships - Uncovering and Recovering.”
The series of CPD trainings will cover 6 days in total - the first 3 of these will detail and explore the uncovering of childhood trauma, the remaining 3 days will focus on recovering from childhood trauma.
The courses are experiential in nature and will offer therapists an opportunity to look deeper into their own childhood trauma. I believe we have all experienced a degree of this type of trauma and are on a spectrum in terms of how it impacts our adult relationships, including the relationship we have with ourselves.
Dóchas courses aim to empower therapists with education that is scientific, research based and up to date while teaching practical tools that can assist you in working with clients at this depth.
Part 1 of this training is accredited by the IACP (6 CPD points) and there are several dates running in 2025. See below for available dates. Click on the date you wish to book. Places are limited and early booking is advised. If you have any queries, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
