DÓCHAS PSYCHOTHERAPY
Psychotherapy can be a deeper and longer term piece of work. It involves helping a client journey to their past to work through and resolve deep rooted issues from childhood, also known as inter-generational trauma. It can often involve revisiting childhood trauma, understanding and working through that trauma so that the client can experience long lasting positive change in their lives.
I believe most of us have deep rooted childhood trauma that we can often be completely unaware of. Psychotherapy empowers both the client and the therapist to embark on this journey together and collaborate in the process of unearthing trauma that is keeping the client stuck in a place of darkness. It shines the light on the dark in order to help the client move out of it once and for all.
As a psychoanalyst and trauma-informed therapist, I can help you with navigating this deep piece of work, at a pace and level that’s right for you. Once we identify the unhealthy patterns that you are operating out of, we can work together to interrupt and change them. Psycho-education plays a big part in this piece of work. I will teach you about complex, developmental and attachment trauma, help you to connect to your body at an emotional level and re-connect to your soul so you can start living your life with purpose and fulfilling your potential. If you are ready for this journey, do contact me to set up an initial session and we can go from there.
